Two more Mississauga exteriors we worked on

All projects
Two-storey house in light beige stucco over a light stone base, with an open covered patio frame and an orange tarp on the slab
EIFS remodel

An aging 1990s exterior replaced with insulated EIFS

When the old system was past repair, it came off and a modern insulated system went on in its place.

Stone and stucco

Stone installed with sills and flashing, beside clean stucco fields

Where stucco meets masonry, the sill and the flashing decide whether water stays out of the wall.

How many days a repair keeps us on your wall

Every repair follows the same four stages; the size of the damage decides how long they take.

Stucco repair service
  1. 1

    Open up to sound material

We cut the damaged stucco back until the board and base coat underneath are solid.

  2. 2

    Fix what let water in

A missing flashing, a failed sill joint or missing corner mesh is corrected before anything is covered.

  3. 3

    New mesh and base coat

Reinforcing mesh is embedded in fresh base coat, which must cure before the finish goes on.

  4. 4

    Tinted, textured finish

The finish coat is tinted and textured to the existing wall and tested where it will not show.

1 dayCaulking and crack repairs
1–2 daysA patch with texture matching, cure time included
3–5 daysA water-damaged section rebuilt to the substrate

Why the repaired area is bigger than the crack

Acrylic finishes fade in the sun, so new finish on one small spot can stand out from the wall around it.

Two-storey modern house with white stucco panels, dark wood-tone cladding, black window frames and a dark flat roof edge
White stucco panels end at corners and at the joints with wood-tone cladding, which is where a refinish can stop.

A patch and texture match

Works on impact holes and small failed sections up to about 20 sq ft, when the old finish still takes a colour match.

$450–$1,200per patch

Refinish to the nearest joint or corner

On a faded wall we carry the new finish to a control joint or corner, so the edge of the repair lands where the eye expects a line.

$9–$16per sq ft, full elevation

Stucco repair in Mississauga: three questions

Do I need a City of Mississauga permit to repair stucco?
Not normally: repairing or refinishing an existing exterior needs no City of Mississauga building permit. Additions, structural changes and new cladding on a new build do.
How soon can you look at my wall?
Most Mississauga addresses are about 20 minutes from our Oakville base, so the site visit is usually within a few days of your call.
Can stucco be repaired in winter?
Emergency sealing and temporary weather protection, yes, year round. Finish repairs are scheduled from April to November, when the base coat can cure properly.
