Mississauga stucco questions
Do I need a permit for stucco work in Mississauga?
Repairing or refinishing an existing exterior does not normally need a building permit from the City of Mississauga. Additions, structural changes and new cladding on a new build do, and condo or townhouse corporations often have to approve the colour.
My Streetsville home has old parged block. Can it be stuccoed?
Usually yes, once the block is sound and clean and any failed parging is repaired. We can then apply a traditional cement system, or add insulation board and finish it as EIFS to cut heat loss through the block.
Do you work on commercial buildings along Hurontario and Dundas?
Yes. We work on storefronts, plazas and low-rise EIFS buildings and schedule the work around tenant hours. See commercial stucco.
How long does the work take?
Most repairs take one to a few days, and longer when water damage has to dry out first. A full EIFS exterior on a detached home takes about one to two weeks, weather permitting. We put the schedule in writing before we start.
