What this Oakville wall shows, mid-job

One bay is still being finished, so the photo shows the layers a finished wall hides.

Four-storey building in beige stucco with darker taupe bands at each floor, dark window frames and a stone veneer base; one bay shows an unfinished grey panel above clear plastic sheeting taped over the stone and a window 1 2 3 4 5

Taupe bands at every floorA darker band runs across each floor line and frames the window heads, set against the beige field.
  2. 2
Vents set into the bandsThe wall vents sit inside the bands, so they read as part of the trim rather than holes in the field.
  3. 3
Stone veneer at gradeThe ground floor is stone, and the first band caps it where the stucco begins.
  4. 4
One bay before its finish coatThe grey panel beside the right-hand window has its base layer on and is waiting for the coloured finish.

Sheeting over the finished workClear poly is taped over the stone and window below the open bay, keeping material off them while we work above.

Four choices that make an exterior premium

The materials are the same as on standard work; the difference is in how flat, how planned and how tested the wall is.

Custom homes stucco

Texture

Standard
Sand and float, which hides small waves in the base coat and patches well later.
Premium
Smooth trowel. Every wave shows in low sun, so the base is screeded flat first, and we quote it higher.

Colour

Standard
A colour approved from a sample card.
Premium
Mock-up panels of the shortlisted colours on your wall, judged in daylight beside the stone. Colours & finishes

Bands and reveals

Standard
Joints go where the installer needs them.
Premium
Bands and reveal lines drawn on the elevations with your designer, like the floor-line bands above. Window trim & banding

Stone junctions

Standard
Sealant run along the joint at the end of the job.
Premium
Flashed and detailed to the drawing where stucco meets stone and windows. Stone installation

Questions about tall and premium exteriors

Do you finish three- and four-storey walls?
Yes. We work on multi-unit residential and low-rise buildings across the GTA from scaffold or lifts, and stage the work one elevation at a time.
Can we see the colour and texture before the walls are done?
Yes. We make mock-up panels of the shortlisted finishes on site, so you judge them in daylight next to your stone and window frames before an elevation is committed.
Why does a smooth finish cost more than a textured one?
The finish material costs the same. The extra labour goes into screeding the base coat flat and running each elevation without a break, because smooth stucco shows every wave in low sun.
